This is a beautiful, stirring and life-affirming show, which gives a great opportunity for our younger ensemble, as well as our older more experienced performers. A true gem!

Set in America’s Deep South in the 1950s, a fugitive is caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young.

Swallow, a teenage girl growing up in a God fearing community, discovers a mysterious man hiding out in a barn. When she asks who he is and the first words he utters are “Jesus Christ,” it’s as if all her prayers have been answered.

The town’s children vow to protect the stranger (who they believe is Jesus) from the townspeople who are on the hunt for a dangerous ‘killer’. As fantasy and reality collide, the community is torn and they all begin to discover who they really are.
