We Are of This Place - Free Guided Walk - Liskeard Station to Looe

This free guided walk will take place on Tuesday 1st April as part of the ‘We Are of This Place festival – a month-long celebration of the Looe Valleys’ people, history, and landscape  covering all parishes between Liskeard and Looe.

Mark will be waiting to greet you at Liskeard station’s main entrance at 9:45am (if arriving from Plymouth – see below for train times). Join him as you traverse along the Smugglers Way, enjoying quiet lanes and paths full of wildflowers and history.

The walk is approximately 11-miles long. Please be sure to bring a packed lunch, plenty of water and don’t forget to wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

Please note: dogs are not permitted on the walk.

How to book
The guided walk is free to attend, but you will need to buy train tickets as usual (and book in with Mark by email – see below).

If coming from Plymouth, buy your train ticket at Plymouth station:

Plymouth – Looe Off-Peak Day Return £8.60
This is the cheapest ticket to get from Plymouth (even though you won’t be using the outward Liskeard-Looe portion.)

If coming from Liskeard, at the end of the walk on the train back from Looe you’ll just need to buy a single from the conductor on board:

Looe – Liskeard Anytime Day Single £6.10

Get there by train
From Plymouth catch the 09:12, arriving in Liskeard for 09:42 – allowing you a few minutes to hop off the train and meet Mark at the entrance to Liskeard station at 9:45am.

The walk will finish in time for you to catch the 17:25 train from Looe (or earlier if possible), arriving into Liskeard at 17:52 where you can catch an onward train to Plymouth at 18:18, arriving at 18.45.
