The Williams Family and their Liskeard Iron Works – FREE Talk by Brian Oldham

July 9 @ 7:00 pm

| Free

‘The Williams Family and their Liskeard Iron Works’ a talk by Brian Oldham, will be at Liskeard and District Museum on Tuesday 9th July at 7pm.

In May 2024 an American of Cornish decent contacted Liskeard & District Museum for information on Zacharias Williams, to whom one of her ancestors was apprenticed at the Liskeard Iron Works, Moorswater, in 1865.

Museum Volunteer Brian Oldham has prepared an illustrated talk based on his research into both the Williams family and their Moorswater foundry.

The talk will be shown to our American friends, during their visit to Cornwall, on Tuesday July 9th at 7pm in the Museum in Pike Street. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

This is a free event; however, any donations towards our museum would be much appreciated. The space is limited, therefore booking is essential via Liskeard TIC (01579349148 / [email protected], or in person).
