The Vikings are Coming to Quethiock!

Come and join us on Saturday 21st September as Morvleydh* recreate everyday life for the local Britons, Scandinavians and Saxons at the time Quethiock Churchyard Cross was erected.

There will be loads of great events and it’s all FREE, we look forward to you joining us for a weekend of discovery! We will be at St Hugh’s Church, the Parish Hall and in between! Parking at the Parish Hall.

* Morvleydh are Early Medieval re-enactors specialising in recreating life in the South West between the 8th and 11th centuries. They will be taking their corner of Quethiock Heritage Weekend back to the 10th century when Quethiock’s own churchyard cross was raised.

There will be displays of daily life, crafts and combat with steel weapons. For under 10s there is also the chance to take on a Viking and practice your own shieldwall skills!
