An extra special session as part of Liskeard Community Fair as we look ahead to the spring/summer season on March 24th 10 am- 12.30 pm
Refresh or learn a handful of traditional Cornish folk dances for fun, friendship and exercise!
Suitable for all ages and levels: no partner or previous experience required. If you have scoots, taps or hard shoes, feel free to bring them with you.
Here’s the full morning’s schedule:
10:00 – 10:30 meet in the Public Hall to browse the stalls and maybe a little refreshment
10:30 – 11:10 outside on The Parade for a first session to learn/refresh a few Cornish dances
11:15 – 11:20 Scoot Lyskerrys “flash mob” in the Public Hall
11:30 – 12:10 outside on The Parade for a second session to learn/refresh a few Cornish dances
12:15 – 12:20 Scoot Lyskerrys “flash mob” in the Public Hall
Dances will include . . . Tin Stamp, Old Hand-in-Hand (Tom Bawcock’s Eve), Newlyn, Kabm Dew (two step, with the tune Begone From My Window) and a serpent dance.
