SongFest 2024: Liskeard
Songfest 2024 is back and promises to be bigger and better than ever before. This grand celebration of music and community brings together primary schools from across Cornwall for an unforgettable experience.
This year, Songfest pays homage to Cornwall’s rich Celtic heritage and its deep-rooted connection to the sea. Our chosen theme for Songfest 2024 is “Sea Shanties.” These captivating sea songs, steeped in maritime tradition, beautifully reflect Cornwall’s enduring relationship with the vast blue expanse that surrounds it.
Songfest is more than just a musical event; it’s an opportunity for primary schools to unite and perform as a mass choir. It plays a crucial role in our Vocal Delivery Strategy, emphasising the importance of music and singing within our schools and communities.
