Saltash Regatta And Waterside Festival

Saltash Regatta is one of the most colourful events held in Cornwall and certainly for South East Cornwall is the most popular annual Regatta. Gig racing, hosted by Saltash based Caradon Pilot Gig Club, is run to the highest standard with rowing on both days. On the river you’ll also find sailing, canoeing and a bit of swimming too. 

There are myriad bands of all types, street entertainers and children’s rides and entertainment. Of course there is also a wide range of market stalls and food vendors to suit all tastes and budgets, along with quirky and interesting craft stalls.

The regatta continues to be run by volunteers and is not for profit. We pride ourselves on putting on a fantastic two day event with great family appeal and a relaxed atmosphere. The Regatta remains FREE to visit and all our live entertainment is also FREE.

Getting to the Regatta

Come by car and park at Granada Services (Carkeel Roundabout) and catch the FREE Regatta Shuttle Buses which run frequently throughout the day or alternatively arrive directly into the heart of the Regatta by train from Devon, Cornwall and beyond. First Great Western is providing an enhanced service over the Regatta weekend.
