Passmore Edwards Exhibition
Stuart House are celebrating 200 years since the birth of John Passmore Edwards with an exhibition of his life.
Passmore Edwards was known as ‘the Great Cornish Philanthropist’ who established a foundation which funded a number of libraries and educational institutions in London, Cornwall and elsewhere, particularly for the benefit of the working classes. In Liskeard he built Liskeard Free Library and Liskeard Cottage Hospital.
The exhibition will be at Stuart House from Monday 20th March to Saturday 25th March (closed Wednesday), opening hours are 9.30am-3.30pm on weekdays and 9.30am-12.30pm on Saturday
