Liskerrett Community Cinema – A Bunch of Amateurs

August 2

| £5

Liskerrett Community Cinema runs on the first Friday of the month so it is easy to remember.

This month the film is A Bunch of Amateurs, a documentary about Bradford Movie Makers Britain’s oldest amateur film-making club as they grow old together amid flickering memories and challenging final years. Clinging to their dreams, and to each other, fuelled by endless cups of tea, this gently comedic, profoundly moving portrait of shared artistic folly speaks to the escapist dreamer in us all and to the enduring power of face-to-face time together, in an increasingly lonely, digital age.

Some of our films are very popular so please book ahead by phoning the Liskerrett Centre 01579 340347 or emailing [email protected]

Check the Liskerrett website for upcoming film details.

Films are shown on the first Friday of the month at 2.30pm and 7.30pm unless otherwise advertised. The matinee screenings are sub-titled.

Tickets £5 on the door (£4 for under 16s) and there is free entry for carers, all are welcome, we provide refreshments at each screening and produce film notes for people who provide us with an email address.
