Liskeard Unlocked - A Taste of Ukraine

As part of Liskeard Unlocked we are celebrating our connection with Ukraine, there will be an event at Liskeard Public Hall on Saturday 14th September, doors open 4.30pm.

We recently twinned with Kopychyntsi in Western Ukraine and we have been sharing traditional songs, dances and food as well as arts and crafts with each other.  We are organising twin events to take place at the same time in the two towns and at 5pm we will connect via video link to show our support by playing and singing the Ukrainian national anthem.

Local food businesses are providing Ukrainian and Cornish food, Liskeard Silver Band will play, Melodi Liskerrett will sing and the evening will end with a Ceilidh featuring Ukrainian and Cornish dances.

Spaces are limited, free tickets are available to collect from Liskeard Tourist Information Centre on a first come, first served basis from 19th August.
