Liskeard Library – Local Community First Peek - FULLY BOOKED

The local community can join us for a first peek at Liskeard Library whilst it’s under refurbishment, to celebrate this year’s Liskeard Unlocked!

Whilst we’ll still be busy with the renovations – expect hard hats, high-vis and very limited facilities – we’re excited to offer guided tours of the building where we can show you the work done so far, introduce you to the Real Ideas team and share our plans for the official launch programme.

The spectacular building is an original Passmore Edwards Library and was designed as a purpose-built library for the town of Liskeard in 1896. Real Ideas have set about to breathe new life into the space and deliver a library fit for the 21st century, with high quality, contemporary spaces that create a gateway to support, enrich and extend activities across the town.

As the Library is still a working site, we’re not able to offer facilities such as toilets, lift access or refreshments. Wheelchair users and those with pushchairs are welcome to join us, but as the building’s lift won’t yet be in-use, we can only offer a tour of the downstairs area.

Saturday 9th September, tours run every 30 minutes between 11am and 3.30pm and are limited to 10 people per tour. Book your free ticket via Eventbrite to be one of the first to take a peek at Liskeard Library before it’s official opening!
