Liskeard Arts Talks present Sibelius and the Birth of Finland at Liskeard Public Hall on Tues 14th November between 7- 9 pm
Russia expert Rosamund Bartlett tells how Sibelius played a crucial role in the successful struggle of Finland, his beloved homeland, to become independent of Russia in 1917, a cause which produced some of his most enduring and thrilling music.
