| FreeEvent Navigation

Pete Herring, one of Cornwall’s most experienced archaeologists will be sharing the results of one of the most important excavations in Cornwall in recent times.
Liskeard Public Hall, Friday 9th May at 7.30pm.
In 2022, Cornwall National Landscape’s ‘A Monumental Improvement’ project commissioned the Cornwall Archaeological Unit to carry out archaeological investigations at King Arthur’s Hall, Bodmin Moor. The excavation, and its subsequent scientific analyses, were made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund through the ‘A Monumental Improvement’ project, Historic England, Cornwall Council and Cornwall Heritage Trust.
In this lecture Pete Herring will outline the project and its findings, describe what it can tell us about King Arthur’s Hall, and discuss what this means in relation to our knowledge of the prehistoric and later uses of Bodmin Moor.
The talk is pay as you feel, with a suggested donation of £3.
