Kabasa - Salsa Band

An evening of Afro-Latin dance music and songs to get your feet moving.

Based in West Cornwall, Kabasa have been wowing audiences in the South West since 2007 with their lovingly assembled collection of finest live Latino/Salsa music from pre-revolution Havana, the hip beaches of Rio and 1970’s New York….and given it their own shot of rum and twist of lime. They play music mainly from Cuba and Brazil as well as original songs, whose unique arrangements fuse salsa, funk and jazz with influences from West Africa, Brazil, Columbia and of course Cuba. Congas and timbales battle it out with a tuneful and fiery brass section, resulting in a vibrant controlled explosion of sound!
