Free Workshop for Unpaid Carers with I Love Nature on Saturday 19th January from 10 am- 3 pm
Edible Wreath and Card Making workshop
Amanda from I Love Nature is hosting a free workshop with Claire from Wild by Design for Unpaid Carers that live in Cornwall, kindly funded by the Cornwall Rural Community Charity.
Come along and have a break from your caring role and enjoy a day crafting and meeting others. Lunch provided by the Junk Food Project and fruit from The Growing Project Pensilva.
Activities:
To create your edible wreath, you will use locally produced willow to make a willow circlet, then adorn it with herbs, foraged goodies, chillies and luxury trimmings. Designed to dry on your kitchen wall, it will last for months and be a tasty addition to your cooking.
After a hot lunch we will enjoy a short stroll around the site and forage for plant materials for our next craft: Making natural seasonal cards using the ancient art of Hapa Zome (plant-bashing).
Teas, coffee, snacks and lunch included.
CRCC Eligibility criteria:
• You must live in Cornwall.
• You must be an unpaid, informal carer.
(You are still eligible if you are in receipt of a carers allowance)
• Activities must enable carers to take a break from their caring role, therefore the grant cannot pay for the supported person(s) to attend the same activity or event.
There are 10 spaces available. Please email [email protected] or send message through Facebook to book your space.
