The Arts Society Liskeard present a talk on Edouard Manet and Music by Dr Lois Oliver on Tuesday 14 January. Music was a constant theme in Manet’s life and art. He drew and painted many musicians, and was inspired by music as varied as Spanish flamenco, Haydn string quartets and Parisian cafe songs.
At the Public Hall, West Street, Liskeard, PL14 6BW. Meet at 7pm for coffee/tea/wine and conversation. The talk starts at 7.30pm and ends at about 9pm. FREE for members; for visitors/guests, £6 at the door.
