East Cornwall Bach Choir Christmas Concert – Tidings of Joy at Christmastide will be held at St Martin’s Church on Saturday 3rd December at 7.30pm
Our concert this year “Tidings of Joy at Christmastide” promises to be a wonderful beginning to the festival of Christmas. The evening will include J.S.Bach’s glorious motet “Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied” and Ralph Vaughan-Williams’s evocative “Fantasia on Christmas Carols” which was chosen to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth. Congregational carol singing and more Christmas music from the choir will round off this celebration. Simon Dunbavand continues as the choir’s Music Director and looks forward to directing his first Christmas in such a lovely church.
