Event Navigation

Join writer in residence Nell Turner for a children’s creative writing workshop and explore the magic of language and writing. For 7-11 years at Liskeard Library from Thursday 10th April between 10:30 am – 12:00 pm.
Creative writing allows young people to explore their imagination, develop language skills, and express their personalities.
Nell Turner, Liskeard Library’s Writer in Residence, will lead this fun session for young people.
Young people will learn how to make characters leap off the page and resonate with readers.
During the workshop, young people will take their first steps in creative writing. Inspired by a variety of resources. The aim is to boost confidence in their writing and inspire them to enjoy all aspects of English – both writing (in all its forms) and reading.
Whether your son/daughter struggles with writing or is a confident wordsmith, this is a workshop for them. Children of all abilities are welcome.
Workshop aims:
Improve your child’s literacy skills (oral and written)
Boost your child’s self-esteem and confidence
Foster a passion for reading/encourage children to read
Promote a love of writing.
Tickets are £10 (plus a small booking fee). To book tickets please visit the Real Pathways website
