A talk for Liskeard Arts (LIDFAS) by Dr Paula Nuttall.  Liskeard Public Hall, 7.30pm, non-members are welcome at a charge of £5, students with ID are free.

Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece is perhaps the most iconic painting in western art. For five centuries she has been an inspiration and an object of plagiarism. Vandalised, stolen, the famous portrait is still firmly embedded as a cultural emblem. Paula Nuttall explains why the Gioconda still has that enigmatic smile.
