How to Catch a Bookwitch

Saturday 5th April, 11am-1pm, Liskeard Library 

An open hearted show aimed at children aged 4+. Exploring the importance of libraries and sharing stories. Includes an after-show workshop.

Tickets include a free “Make A Book Monster” to follow the show from 12-1pm. £8 per child.

FREE Craft activities to make and take for all ages!  There’s also going to be a brand new Easter trail around the museum for children and their families to follow.

Piskey Path Puppet Show

Monday 7th April from 11am – 11.45am, Liskeard and District Museum 

Mazed Tales will be performing their new puppet show ‘Piskey Path’ – the show features two clever puppets; Hunt and Bottrell, the folklore collectors and tells of the Cornish folktales they have collected.

FREE entry no need to prebook. Just drop in!

Junior Lego Robotics

8th April, 10am – 12pm at Liskeard Library

Step into a world of LEGO magic in Liskeard Library’s Lego Robotics taster workshop!

With help from a facilitator, your child will be challenged to build and program an interactive, robotic creation of their choice! Using a range of motors, sensors and (most importantly) creativity, your kids will have the chance to raise their skills to the next level.

Lighthouse Holiday Club

Ages 5 – 7 – Tuesday 8th and Thursday 10th April from 10am – 2pm, Lighthouse Community Centre

Ages 8 – 11 – Wednesday 9th and Friday 11th April from 10am – 2pm, Lighthouse Community Centre

The Lighthouse Community Centre is holding a Holiday Club with a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme on various days over the Easter Holidays.

Manga Drawing Workshop

Wednesday 9th April, 10am-12.30pm, at Liskeard Library

Join us at the Library for an exciting Manga Drawing Workshop, perfect for children aged 10+ who are passionate about drawing, storytelling, or simply love manga!

No Experience Needed! All materials will be provided.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early and secure your place. This is a longer sessions as children will be supported to create a zine and showcase the scenes that they have made

Easter Archaeology Drop In Workshops

Wednesday 9th April, between 10.30am and 2.30pm, at Liskeard and District Museum

Fun for young budding historians and archaeologists aged 4+. Join Laura from Lore & Piece at Liskeard & District Museum as she delves into the past and reveals how people in medieval Cornwall once created identity documents and how they were authenticated.

Each workshop last 45 minutes and costs £3 per person. Suitable for children of all ages. Drop in sessions, no need to book.

Easter Creative Writing

Thursday 10th April, between 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. Liskeard Library 

Join writer in residence Nell Turner for a children’s creative writing workshop and explore the magic of language and writing. For 7-11 years.

Friday 11th April, 10am – 11pm, and Thursday 17th April, 11am-12pm at Liskeard Library

Join Mia at Liskeard Library and take inspiration from quotes and themes from books, and bring them to life by drawing, for ages 6 -10yrs

 A relaxed drawing experience where we take inspiration from quotes and themes from a variety of books, and turn these ideas and concepts into drawings. Mia offers 121 guidance and support throughout the session, and all styles and abilities are welcome.

Come along and let your imagination run wild; who knows where it will take you!

Ticket £7.50 plus small booking fee. (Recommended age 6 years+).

Easter Egg Hunt 

Easter Saturday 19th April, 11am – 12pm, Community Treasure Chest

Can you help Treasure Bear to find her rainbow eggs?
Visit local shops around the town and collect all Treasure Bears lost rainbow Eggs.

Come to the registration tent located on Fore St, between 11am-Noon and meet Treasure Bear who is sure to point you in the right direction before you get on your way.

The trail starts in Fore Street and it will finish at Community Treasure Chest, Barras Place where all the helpers will be given a Treasure Bear thank you and an Easter Surprise. (if wet, will be inside Community Treasure Chest)

Trail leaflets will cost just £2 per child.

Pondlife at Cotehele Quay

Saturday 5th April, 10am – 1pm. Cotehele Quay.

Hunt for the creatures which live in (and on!) the pond. Watch the water closely, or have a go at pond dipping, and identify any insects, fish, or amphibians you may find.

Rockpool Ramble at Hannafore Beach

POSTPONED due to bad weather – new date Thursday 17th April, 2pm – 3pm. meet below the Coastguard station at Hannafore Beach

Come and join local experts as we explore the rocky shore, finding lots of the amazing critters that live on it! Learn about starfish, crabs, fish, anemones and lots more at this educational event that is guaranteed to satisfy the whole family.

This is a FREE event but donations to Looe Marine Conservation Group are welcome.

We invite families, friends, and curious adventurers to embark on an exciting Easter egg hunt with a twist. Solve clues, decode riddles, and uncover hidden eggs throughout the historic site in this thrilling, puzzle-filled journey that promises excitement at every turn.

Easter Egg Hunt at Lanhydrock

Saturday 5th April – Monday 21st April 2024, 10.30am – 4pm, Lanhydrock Estate

Make your way around the garden, complete the trail and collect a chocolate egg at the end. You can choose from either a chocolate egg or a vegan and Free From chocolate.

The trail will cost £3.50 per child to be paid at the event, on the day (in addition to the normal admission fee).

Easter Egg Hunt at Cotehele

Saturday 5th April – Monday 21st April, 10am to 4pm, Cotehele National Trust

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family, come along and explore the beautiful spring gardens at Cotehele.

The price of the trail is £3.50 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end. Normal admission charges apply.

Easter Trail at Antony House

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 8-24 April and additionally on Friday 18, Sunday 20 and Monday 21 April, 12pm to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm, Antony Estate

Come along and explore the beautiful garden of Antony.

Prices are normal admission plus £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Easter at Eden

Saturday 5th April – Sunday 20th April, 10am – 5pm, The Eden Project

Get excited for Springfest at the Eden Project this Easter. Celebrate the joys of spring with plenty of family-friendly games, crafts and activities for all ages.

Visitors to Eden are strongly encouraged to pre-book a time slot in advance of each visit, including Passholders, and those who can visit for free. Timeslots can be booked on The Eden Projects Website.
